Is an ' Art History' degree the same as a ' history of art degree'

Personally, I think ' history of art' sounds posher and more respectable than just ' 'art history' however, do they mean the same thing? I really want to do history of art, and am looking at different Unis; however Kent calls it ' Art History' I looked at the content for modules and everything looks pretty similar to Manchester, Leicester etc, however would employers rather have someone with a certificate that says ' History of art degree'? Rather than 'Art History'?

and you have no more than 80-90 years (at best), so instead of concerning yourself over the minute detail of a degree name, get on with your life and do as you please.

your time on this world is finite backed by historical evidence of human survival patterns, hence the statement holds.

you are to study a degree in art history/history of art, why does prestige matter? the only prestige you'd get is if you study it at a reputable uni such as oxbridge (if they offer it), otherwise it makes no contextual difference.

Yes because a graduate is really going to get a job in McDonald's aren't they? I don't think employers wpild look at it any differently as posted above. You should bear in mind it is a specialist degree and the unemployment rate seem quite high.
Get into the best uni you can, but do your research also on the different course syllabi.

I think that's unfair. Shame on you. Have you never heard than no question is a stupid question?

I am sure you are bright enough to understand that the study of any form of history is to understand all that has past and all that may yet transpire. It requires a level of discipline and analysis which is highly sought after in vocations not just directly related to history, for example it is particularly relevant for Law.

As surprising as it may be that one should question the difference between Art History and History of Art, with privilege comes responsibility even although privilege is simply a greater degree of understanding and knowledge.
