How to get overprotective mother to let me stay (abroad) with boyfriend?

Both my boyfriend and i are 17. I live in the UK and he is from Serbia. So when its the holidays he goes home. He has asked me and my friemd (who is male) to go and stay with him for a few days in the summer. My dad has said this is fine. But my mother has said no. When i asked her why she just said "because"
She doesnt know this other dude is going but she really trusts him, so this may help.
I think she is afraid of my safety incase my boyfriend gets me drunk or whatever...and shes also worried about sex... but it takes 2 to tango, so if i dont want anything like that, then it aint happening and my bf will respect that.
Any ideas on how to get her to change her mind?

Just ask her for an actual reason and explain that your dad is okay with it then she should be too. Explain that your friend who she trusts is going to, will make her more likely to let you go as someone else will be with you.

She might still say no, and she will have her reasons to do this so you would have to respect that, but good luck!
i have a serbian friend and im from the UK but we are in a 4 years age gap, he said when he turns a bit more older he'll come over to the UK ^-^ but i told him i might go on a family trip to serbia X3

my parents dont even let me out of the house to meet a guy near where i live let alone let me go outside of london to go meet a guy XD if i told them i wanted to go abroad to see a boyfriend they would definitely not let me go unless an responsible adult comes with me
Over protective mother or rational mother?

How are Serbian films like? Because I've been quite curious about how Serbia is @.@ but my friend tells me it's just him and his friends that are messed up XD

As long as you're in the well known safe parts you're ok. In some areas it is a bit dodgey, my bf has been in knife fights in some of the really bad places

Yeh, ive seen these. But i trust my bf. Im also friends with a lot of his mates. These guys do not get taken down in fights. It would be like having 10 body guards at any 1 time. I feel quite safe.

Give her details of where you will be staying, what activities are being planned, how she can contact you by phone or Skype etc. Tell her what adults, if any, will be around where you will be staying etc. Offer to phone/skype once a day, say.
Think detail and clarity.

He was referring to a particular film called "A Serbian Film". It is nauseating to put it simply, and includes a woman being raped.
Explain to her that your friend who she trusts will be going too  and you can also say you'll text/phone her while you're out there to let her know that you're safe and having a good time

i talked to my mother, and she said that you might say that you wont have sex and your bf will repect that but when you're in the heat of the moment he might not listen to you and want to have sex with you. also my mum asked how long have you two been in a relationship?

i think you should get a female friend aswell to go with you because ofc a mother would worry if its just males.
