The last question on the higher paper (about indicator species) had to be about an animal, not a plant like lichen. I didn't read the question properly and missed it

Some of the marks you allocated on this are wrong

which ones?
i got 0.6 for it
For the malaria percentage I put 0.6% and 6% do you think the examiner would mark the 0.6% even though 6% was there too?
Original post by Jonjo bonjo
teacher told me it was 0.6

don't you mean 0.6 recurring % or 0.67%
btw this is exactly was A level bio is like

Independent company would be unaffiliated with the drug company

Legal, recreational

Boys drink more beer, lager, cider than girls, girls drink more of everything else

It's too small a sample size

Fat - store of energy and warmth
Carbs/sugars - used for energy through respiration
Proteins - growth, repair of cells, replacement of old ones
Fibre - used to aid digestion

Skin is sense organ for spinal cord

80/50 = 1.6 for neurone speed

That's jumbled up - what did ya get for the horses one

horses evolved due to the environmental conditions and predators around them to protect themselves. i think......
they should of had a question about CANCER =AQA

Anyone got a guess at what the grade boundaries for an a* could be?

47/60

apparently its 19 to get a C, so it would be less for an A* too. i guess about 30 +
What I think the Grade boundaries will be after some consideration and looking around at past reports ect ect..
13=D
20=C
28/29=B
37=A
48=A*
What are people thinking?

What did people get for the question about all boys drinking and why was the hypothesis not valid??

I believe the hypothesis was not valid as they only surveyed 100 or so people in one age group (15) so it was not representative and they therefore couldn't generalise but I could be wrong :/

I thought you had to times by 100

Yeah same

Well for starters if you write two answers and one of them is wrong you forfeit the mark anyway, but also sadly not. It's not rounding too much (e.g. saying 0.7 instead of 0.66) it's actually incorrect rounding.

which ones?

The mean that was 1.6 was only 1 mark. The why do more boys not drink alcohol was only 1 mark also. And the question about co2 increasing was 3 marks

I got 0.666 whoops for the malaria one

Posted from TSR Mobile

I got exatly the same as you. People are getting confused.

It was 300,000,000 divided by 100 and then times by 2,000,000 which comes out to 0.66 so 0.66%

1.6 wwas the synapse question
