For the Eh=cmDeltaT m must be measured in kg right ? So I must change the units ?

M = LITRES!!!! It's the mass of the water! So change it from cm3 to litres.

No wait edit:

It is Kg :P

Thanks so much for the help so far guys. I would like to ask when you are told to work out the gfm but are given the solution in words how do you find that out?

What so like this:

Find the GFM of Iron(III) Oxide?

Aston, I recommend you click this link

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU32Og7N9VTUWL1qfJOPZxA/featured

It's a youtube channel for Chemistry and there are a lot of national 5 videos mainly calculation videos. Really good information and quite easy to understand.

When you have, n, the number of moles and m, the mass then in order to get the gfm (IF YOU DONT HAVE THE NAME OF COMPOUND) Just enter the values in to this formula

gfm = m/n

If you don't understand what I mean the youtube channel has videos on it

Hope that helps !
For the Eh=cmDeltaT

C with always be 4.18 because the specific heat capacity for water is 4.18 right ?

We haven't learnt anything else for c, have we ?

c is always 4.18, unless they state it's something else.
Anyone know how to do these sort of questions?

Which compound would not neutralise hydrochloric acid?

A) Sodium Carbonate
B ) Sodium Chloride
C) Sodium hydroxide
D) Sodium Oxide

I would say Sodium Chloride becuase its a salt.

Acid + Metal Carbonate
Acid + Metal Oxide
Acid + Alkali
How do you measure voltage? It says use your data book?

To measure the highest voltage, go to the back of your data booklet to the Electro Chemical Series (ECS)

Look at the metals you are given and

Highest Voltage = Biggest gap between the metals in the ECS

Sodium chloride would be correct as it's the salt and not a base

The other three are bases and bases neutralise acids.
What do you need to know about nuclear radiation

What do you need to know about nuclear radiation

Properties alpha, beta, gamma.
Nuclear decay.
Radioisotopes and their uses
Half life
That's all I can remember off the top of my head.
Anyone know the answer to the last 2015 multiple choice question? How do you do it /
Everyone remember to not get confused with calculating the number of neutrons and mass number!

Atomic number + neutrons = mass number

Atomic number - mass number = number of neutrons

Thanks, Good luck !
Could someone please explain now calcium hydroxide is Ca(OH)2 instead of Ca(OH)
Thank you for all the help everyone, I wish you all the best of luck for tomorrow !

Calcium has a valency of 2 and Hydroxide has a valency of 1, when you cross them over it gives you Ca(OH)2
