Referencing in first year economics exam?

I am doing my first economics exam in a few days. We have been told to referencing theories and things like that, e.g. Cleaver (2007), but should we reference other things, for example:

"...such as the $40 billion bail out package supplied to Thailand and neighbouring countries during the 1997 Asian crisis (BBC 2008)."

Thanks for any help:smile:
Bump. Any feedback from this? My exam is in 2 days

If you can remember the citation and what it is actually citing then go for it. This is how you access the top marks, and you'll have to do it all the time in later years.
