General consensus seems it was hard and last year we all thought it was good - calling a rough estimate that 60/72 will be 80 UMS, last year was 65.

What in the bloomin hell was that paper?

I've been getting solid A's for the previous past papers (70/72 for 2015 paper) but this paper hit me hard. I wasn't the only one to find it difficult so hopefully the grade boundaries are lower or that c2 and s1 are bloody generous. :/

circles also do not come up on c1, geometry of a circle is a topic on c2! The topics for c1 are;
surds and indices,
quadratic functions, equations, graphs and transformations,
coordinate geometry and straight lines,
polynomials and the binomial expansion,
and differentiation!

These are on my course and i'm doing wjec.

I got that k is less that -7.5

It is wrong as if you use k as -5 or -6 it will not intersect the curve, I checked it at the end.

2x was defo the gradient however you had to find the y value where the circle intercepted so you could plug the point into the equation of a line?

I got something like y=2x+3+2root6

Also - what about the 2nd question, I got -¼+or-¾root5

For the question about the circle being wholly inside the other, did anyone else get 0<r<√45 - 5?
Most people got 0<r<2, but I thought that this may not be right
