Hey, trust me it's not worth stressing about, we've still got time. I'm not doing the same topic as you but i guess the principles apply to us both. - collect as many examples for individual points and flexible ones and practice explaining them in a precise way
how are you guys revising for units 3C and 4C? I am so stressed, so many examples to learn!

I really think something on the process of electing the president will come up, but not campaign finance (phew!) as it came up last year for a 15 marker. I haven't done anything on recall elections in class or for revision?!? What do you think I will need to learn for that?

Recall elections is a procudure by qhich voters can remove an elected official from office theough direct vote before his or her term has ended. ( recalls are initiated sufficient voters sogn a petition)

For and against

E.G.
For
They act like a check and balance against elected officials in order to keep them in line

Depending on the issue it can be very important and valid

Against
They can lead to special interest groups/ single issue groups potentially having too much influence over the recall thus questioning it's democratic legitimacy
e.g. 2012 Wisconsin Govnor recall, 2013 Colorado recall election (Gun right advocates)

Whether they enhance or hinder deomcracy
Examples of when it's happen and how it supports what you are arguing

How would you structure a modern liberalism vs classical liberalism essay?

I'd focus each paragraph on specific areas (such as freedom) and then compare/contrast the stances of both classical and modern liberalism within the paragraph.

Just off the top of my head, I don't have my notes with me...

Differences:
-Freedom
-Economy
-Individualism
Similarities:
-Both highlight freedom and individualism, just in different ways.

You'd have to build these points up but that's an outline of sorts. You may need to add a bit more for the similarities section, though.

More similarities - both are against equality of outcome, both agree on the concept of equality of opportunity (although they have different theories on how this is practiced within society)
