I don't know where the marks will be awarded but that is worth at least 4.

Great, thank you
For question 9, I had B and C incorrectly positive/negative (cant remember) before I put into the discriminant.

This gave me k< -5 and k > 2

How many marks will I lose? I noticed at the very end and was gutted

For the second and third parts of the circles question, I accidently wrote down the y coordinate of A as -2 at the start instead of 0 so (10,-2). This meant all my answers are different but my method was correct.

Will I get any marks for error carried forward? And how many do you think I will lose over the 2 parts?

Any help would be greats, thanks
How much marks would I get on the circles question (the first part) for using the coordinates of the centre of the circle instead of (10, 0) and getting an answer of y=2x-5?

1. (i) 2x292x^2-9 (2 marks)

For this I got something like 2x^2-12x+9 - 2x^2-12x+18. When simplified
And I got the answer to be just 9
Did we do the same question\ paper. as I'm 99.999% sure this is correct.

Is there any chance somebody has the question paper? it would be greatly appreciated

It is possible for you to show questions. Much appreciated

what do you think the grade boundaries will be to get full UMS. I think I dropped 4 marks at max!
Does you know what the grade boundaries are most likely to be?
Mr M , for question 10 part 2 I made an arithmetic error simplifying the gradient of the line from the centre to the point A from -3/6 to -1/3 , if everything else was correct (m1 x m2 = -1 etc) how many marks would I drop? And would I be given any error carried forward for part 3 in which the gradient was the same?

Thanks for posting your mark scheme btw.

Drop two marks on 8(ii) (wrong statement) and 10(iv) (forgot to put 0<r)

From what I've seen, so many people struggled. I think 55 will be 80 UMS so 69 as 100. Just what I think
thanks

This was definitely the most difficult Core 1 ever. I'll be around to discuss questions later for a bit. Post in the thread, don't private message me as the system is running very slow.

Also on a final note, from this paper do you expect the other core to be of similar difficulty?...in particular m1, s1 and c4. It seems as though past papers are not representative of the exam anymore.
What would the grade boundary be for an a
What would an a be
I have never encountered a C1 paper this hard.. I feel like i fked up my exam lol
I think i got 61 to 64 would that be an a

You may not lose anything. It is possible they will allow your previous error to be carried forward.

Get 1 mark out of 3.
