what grade would 60 be? as a rough ghestimate, just added it up again and got 63 but im gona minus 3 incase of misjudgement.

High B?

After checking a few times im quite sure i got 66-68
Made a tiny mistake on the integral which will probably cost me 2 and then another mark for thr shaded area
Then on Q3 i read the question wrong and thought it was x^2 +3x instead of 7x
So dropped 2 there and then i did say translaye so would have got 1/3 for the transformation

(x-5)^2-25+(y+3)^2-9=0
= (x-5)^2+(y+3)^2=34 therefore radius=Square root of 34

No, when you have two points that's not how to do it. You need to use Pythagoras to find the K value, or substitute in the values of A to (x-5)^2+(y+3)^2 = k.

C1
June 2015 - A = 64 B = 58 C = 52
June 2014 - A = 62 B = 56 C = 50
June 2013 - A = 59 B = 53 C = 47
Jan 2013 - A = 64 B = 58 C = 52
June 2012 - A = 58 B = 51 C = 44
Jan 2012 - A = 61 B = 55 C = 49

All these are the previous grade boundaries, I personally think it will be similar to the June 2013 Boundaries.

Thanks this is really useful! Was 5d definitely only 2 marks?? I completely missed it and only saw it when I was closing the paper and checking through and I think I remember it being 3 marks? Would rather it was 2 obviously aha

I make no guarantees here! The marks are not my work, they're the work of the OP of this forum, beanigger - http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=4095491.

I just added the integral formating in that edit.

I'd be guessing closer to 2015 or 2012 - but defo lower than 2015.

i did the same! what were your fractions?!

I cant quite remember, but just multiply there one (over 4) by 3 because I left my fractions over 12, and I remember having 200 and something on the top!

243/12?
I left first part as 243/12 and second part as 135/12
(equivalent to 20.25 and 11.25)

Can't see an issue with that - they should allow OE in the mark scheme.

i got that!!!!! but my second part was wrong. i didnt see a triangle, i saw a square LOOOL
does anyone remember the coordinates of P it was like -1,23 or something??
If I got 243/12 instead of the simplified 81/4, would I still get full marks?

I would say yes - it should be OE

I agree, in the past papers it normally accepts them unless its a VERY obvious fraction that can be simplified.

Anyone know that the final answer was deffo k>6 and k<-3/2

Because I got k= -1 and k= 9, would be helpful if someone could remember the inequality we had to solve!

Can't remember properly, but yeah i also got k>6 and k<-3/2
I wrote the completed the square one in decimals, do i get full marks for that question? It asked for the numbers to be rational.
naaah i think similar to 2014
For those aiming for full ums or close to it. Lets hope the grade boundaries for this paper are close to June 2013 :colondollar:
IMO an A will probably be 60-62 with full UMS being 73/75

June 2015: 64/75 for an A
75 = 100
74 = 98
73 = 96
72 = 95
71 = 93
70 = 91

June 2014: 62/75 for an A
75 = 100
74 = 100
73 = 98
72 = 97
71 = 95
70 = 93

June 2013: 59/75 for an A
75 = 100
74 = 100
73 = 100
72 = 100
71 = 100
70 = 98

Jan 2013: 64/75 for an A

June 2012: 58/75 for an A
75 = 100
74 = 100
73 = 100
72 = 100
71 = 99
70 = 97

Jan 2012: 61/75 for an A
75 = 100
74 = 100
73 = 100
72 = 98
71 = 97
70 = 95
