what did you guys get for the ammonium citrate question. I said that it would decrease the ph of the soil and that nitrogen (in ammonia) is an essential element for plants to make amino acids.

Yeah that's what I said. It would neutralise it or something. Something to do with the pH

I said CnH2n+2O

Edit : The 2 before the O is for the Hydrogen, Its basically like the Alkane general formula

I wrote CnH2n O. since all of them had 1 oxygen(functional group maybe)

Yeah but doesn't the Hydrogen add 2 when multiplied by 2 ?

I wrote the same only that I added 2 on to the hydrogen
I put Cn 2n+2 O

Sorry I mean CnH2n+2O

Would I get the mark for CnH2n+O2 ?

I got the same as you!

Not sure, most of these questions are just 1 markers so I'm guessing if its not totally correct you won't get it. Maybe it was 2 marks though.

Why is it 2O ?

I REALLY WANT TO SEE A PAPER 2
haha
For the fuel cell question here's what I got:

i)oxidation,

ii ) Redox reaction = Br2 + SO3 +H20 = 2Br + SO4 + 2H
Something like that ^

Dunno mate just took a wild guess

You didn't need to do much for the redox because it was already 2e- right ?

Yep.

Electrons cancelled out
For the MP 20 did anyone choose lithium ions, since the water turning cloudy suggests a reaction occured. The only element which can displace potassium carbonate is lithium.

Yeah, you just cancel them out...

Does anyone know what they put for the balancing the equation ?
did you any of you get a headache trying to answer the balancing question. Had to come back to it at the end and got 3 on the left side and a 3 on the right. I can't remember on which compounds tho

I posted them on like the 2nd or 3rd page of the chat

Are they your answers or the actual answers ?

I was worried about not be able to fit it all into one line.
