Hi,
I'm going to be applying to Mathematics and Computer Science courses for 2017 entry soon, but as you probably know Warwick offers Discrete Mathematics as an alternative to this.
The course content itself appeals to me greatly, but I've read numerous complaints about the lack of communication between both the CS and Mathematics departments, which leads to DM students getting stuck in a limbo between the two.
Can anyone comment on whether or not this lack of communication still exists? If it does, I'll apply to do Data Science, since it seems quite similar but with more of an emphasis on statistics (which I enjoy) rather than my preferred pure maths.
I'll be grateful if anyone can offer me any advice! Thanks!
