UCA Farnham 'Extra Large Ensuite Bedroom'

I have applied for an 'Extra Large Ensuite Bedroom' on the UCA Farnham campus. Has anyone seen or rented one of these rooms?

I want to know if this includes a double bed, also if the extra rent is worth the space you're given. Also, I could not open the link online about pricing, so if someone could give me a head up on prices I'd be paying per month...

Did you manage to get this room? I applied for a bunch of them but didn't get any... They've got that second smaller selection soon so I hope I get one of them seeing as my course will demand needing to be on campus for random hours (film production). So scared about renting private, with the costs of bills and everything. I feel like private renting will distance me from all the other first years :frown:

If you're still wondering id be more than happy to let you know about some of the accomodation, although I'm presuming you'd have been allocated a room by now?

Do you know anthing about the medium, large and extra large ensuite rooms?

It'd be great to know if the space is worth the money and just generally what it's like.
The One extra large room is pretty much the same size as the large, just a different shape so technically bigger, but the space in the large rooms are quite substantial which I found helpful as I work in 3D, but it depends on the person really, the wardrobe and shelving space is the same in most rooms!

You should note that due to there only being 15 ensuite rooms on the Farnham campus, they are reserved for people with disabilities and medical reasons. Hope this helps, and feel free to ask me any other questions

Hey,

I have quite a few questions about accommodation at Farnham.

1. How many people is the kitchen and bathroom shared between in the village and the halls (I'm assuming they're different)?

2. Do you know which bedrooms these are?

a. Student Village

ii.http://squire.be/uca360/f-vill-b-2/index.html

b. Main Hall
i.http://squire.be/uca360/f-main-b-1/index.html

Here's the chart with the names for reference:

3. Do you know which rooms come with a sink?

In some of the pictures theres a sink.

4. How close is both the village and halls to the campus?

5. Are the refurbished rooms worth the money and whats the difference?

6. What do you suggest, the halls or the village?

7. I'd prefer to have a large room, am I likely to get one?

Thanks.

1. The Main Hall are flats of 5 people The Village is houses/flats of 8, with 2 toilets, 2 showers (they're separate) and a kitchen to share

2. Not entirely sure, i'm guessing 1st medium D or large E 2nd large (possibly medium) ensuite 3rd large

3. all rooms come with a sink in them

4. all accommodation is on campus (2 second walk!!!)

5. Not entirely sure, maybe they're the ones that have just been done up recently, so they look newer?

6. I lived in the village and loved it, but they're all in the same place! Halls you're just sharing with less people, so the kitchen space is a little smaller too. Village is where the social stuff usually occurs as theres a bit more room

7. when you apply it'll ask you to list the room you want in preference order. It's purely done on home distance to the university, the further away you live the more likely you are to attain a place

hope this helps
