I got that too SurrealTV. Man this paper was bloody difficult.
i got p as 3/2
a as 1/2 and b as -2

Sure was one damn tough exam... What are you lot thinking the grade boundary for an A would be roughly? Seeing as the hardest past paper I've done was Jan 2013 and had 48/72 for an A would you think it would be around 50/72?
This was the hardest exam I have ever done. I missed out 22 marks due to a lack of time. I didn't even do question 9. On the plus side (if there is one) I think that I got 39/72 which may end up to be a B. The January 2013 paper required only 43/72 for a B (see http://www.ocr.org.uk/i-want-to/convert-raw-marks-to-ums/) and that paper was like doing a year 6 SATs maths paper compared to this one. Therefore, the grade boundary for a B is should AT LEAST be 4 marks lower.

I'm in year 12 doing AS Further Maths which puts me at a disadvantage to all the Y13s. However, I can (and will) resit it next year.

i got -3+9j as well but was |z-(3+4j)|>=5 or |z-(3+4j)|<=5
Did you guys get A = 6 and B = 51?

i think it was less than or equal to 5 because i shaded in on the circle
Anyone else get -5/2 and -2/5 for the roots of that polynomial?

i got 1/2 and -2 because they added to make -3/2 and multiplied to make -1??

Oh dear, I thought they multiplied to give 1??

Pretty sure it was more than or equal to so it was the area outside the circle :frown:
Think I've been stupid and left the answer to the last question as 0.00816 or something? Didn't realise 0's at the front classed as sig figs lol
**** hopefullt its ft and i only lose 1
