Yeah the same as you for the extract q! :smile:Then for the essay q to do an intro then 3/4 paragraphs and conclusion but to start with the factor mentioned in the question (if there is one mentioned)

I'm focusing particularly on why Stalin won the power struggle and why the Reds won the Civil War as neither have come up on specimen papers but are both potential qs! Hoping NEP doesn't come up haha

The source q on the specimens are about Trotsky failing to win the power struggle and Lenin's impact on Russia and the essay qs are on the fall of the Provisional Government, Bolshevik consolidation of power and the NEP!

I did that exam too, I thought it went quite well, I was just happy I didn't have to answer a question on Henry VIII really:smile:

Ahh so no common theme like Tudors! Yeah, I can see why you think the stuff about Stalin might come up.

Ugh i felt like paper 1 went better. The source ques was annoying too, I found it hard to pick one bc neither properly explained divisions in the party
That paper was so nice, question 3 we did for a mock which I got 24/25 in so this morning i looked over it so i remembered all the specific facts and details  The first question (source one) was decent probs got at least 20/25
Yeah it was like neither of the sources addressed the question, I didn't know what to talk about 😁 But the NEP question was good I suppose!

Our teacher has been just making up questions all year and that happened to be one of them, our class is so lucky
What could you even write about for the source question?!

Anyone have a rough idea of grade boundaries (for history AS as a whole and one paper)?

I wrote about disagreement with NEP & permanent revolution / socialism in one country.

Yeah I did too but I still didn't really know which source to say was more valuable 😬 At least I wrote about the same thing as you ☺️🙏🏻
