when trying to write something get to the point and don't blab on because your just wasting time and will get the same marks if you wrote less.

You're right, perhaps I "blab" on too much when writing down answers.

For me the trick is too actually write at a normal pace, as that way you are slowing down and actually thinking about what to write in the question, so you make more sense I guess. Personally for me, when I try and write very quickly, my hand writing become really hard to read, and even though I feel like I am writing quickly, I am spending more time stressing out.
I don't know if that makes sense, maybe it will work for you? It helped me in Religious Studies exams.

write in cursive its quicker when words are connected
plan for 1 min what youre gonna write so when you start writing you know everything
don't grip the pen too hard so ur hand doesn't hurt
trust me i ALWAYS have extra time in exams lol
