You're more third wave than what you think. Nowhere in the article you link does it talk about filtering factors in such as women taking time off for kids, generally working less hours and doing easier jobs.

I'm ignoring it because once you filter the factors into place a wage gap does exist but it's understandable why it does. Why would someone who takes 2 years out to raise a baby get paid the same amount in their lifetime as someone who works every day? If they did then surely that would be unfair for men as we can't take 2 years off and expect to get paid the same.

I genuinely find it so hard to talk to people about these issues because they do exactly what you are doing and forget what I've said and assume I'm saying and meaning something that is literally the epitome of the opposite of my stance. I do not think it is fair that women are paid an equal rate for doing different jobs or for working shorter hours, where men are paid for doing more, at the same rate. You are literally manipulating what I'm saying, both you and the OP. I put it plainly and you're running with a different approach because it gives you something to argue with. I did not once say I thought women should have the same rate as a man if they are doing less. I don't think that. I also don't think a man should have the same rate as a woman who is doing more. That's as simple as it gets.

I don't think either of them are bad, personally. Like I said, I'm not at all sympathetic with the third wave. Furthermore, that was not what I said so don't manipulate my language.

You are seriously a hypocrite. You say sexualisation is a problem, then say that image (of Lara Croft) which feminists say is sexualised, isn't a problem?

And I am not manipulating your language. You said:

Also, male body image is usually done to portray masculine traits and strength, not to sexualise the male form.

So I asked if you were denying that masculinite traits and strength aren't deemed attractive by women, which is the goal of sexualisation.

EDIT: If you think I am 'manipulating' what you are saying, maybe you should be more clear in how you say things. Earlier when I showed you why I wasn't manipulating what you were saying, you just ignored it.

I said sexualisation is an issue, I don't agree that Lara Croft is a sexualised figure. How is that hypocritical? It's simply saying I disagree with the premise that she is a specifically overly sexualised character, not that sexualisation isn't a problem.

Yes, which does not equate to your assumption.

Okay, then why is sexualisation in video games a problem? As long as it has proper age ratings, what harm does it do?

This would be because women are in fact people and not sexual objects for the gratification of either sex. Video games aren't porn. It's unnecessary.
What's your opinion on men being breadwinners and women being housewives?

Do you like shooting, fishing, hunting, boxing and woodworking?

Would you prefer to work in a bank or on a fishing boat?

This is quite a controversial topic, so I'd like to at least clear some confusion over what "anti-feminist" means, and why I am one.

Are you anti-feminist as in against equal rights for men and women, or anti extreme feminism as in you're against more rights for women that men. The latter is normal, everybody should oppose extreme forms of most things, but the first is just sexist.

15.

And at 15 you think you know the first thing about gender inequality and feminism? What a load of ****. Ignorance at its finest.

A lot of things are unnecessary. The only reason why a lot more women are sexualised in videogames than men, is because a lot more heterosexual men play videogames, so the sexualised characters appeal to them. People should be allowed to choose what type of videogames to play. I enjoy strategic games and sandbox games. Some people enjoy games with lots of sex in them. How is that bad?

I have none. Women and men should be free to work as whatever they like (except in a few cases where it just isn't possible).

Nope, nope, nope, nope and I guess, but it's not one of my hobbies.

In a bank. Although it would depend on which position.

I am not against the dictionary definition of feminism, but against the real feminism that is happening now, in countries like the UK and US.

That is different from having somebody like Lara Croft, for example, even though I don't think she is sexualised as such, being sexualised. Sex has no relevance in such a game. In games like GTA, it has partial relevance and therefore, you can accept it to a degree. 'Heterosexual' men play the game for the game, not to see some busty cartoon and 'a lot more' does not mean 'solely'. How its bad is the whole argument of the movement. Your argument is, 'it gets men off, therefore its okay', which is completely *******s.

And so what if a lot of things are unnecessary? That doesn't mean they are okay.
