Unit 1; Democracy & Pressure groups predictions

Hey guys, anyone retaking Unit 1 for 2016? If so what do you guys think will come up?

I have a feeling that for democracy the 25 will be some form of 'to what extent is there a democratic deficit in the U.K.', how can democracy be improved, or assess representative democracy.

There's not very many other questions they can ask.

For unit 1 i think refurendums may come up & for unit 3&4 i'm doing ideologies; anarchism, liberalism & socialism. Multiculturism, nationalism & feminism.

why did you resit? what grades did you get for AS? was the content quite difficult the first time around? was it cos of your teachers being lousy?

My teacher was rubbish and the first time around i had no confidence bc it was all independent work but for unit 1 i got a C and unit 2 i got an A so overall a B thats why i wanna retake bc i wanna bring my C for unit 1 up to an A

I got a B overalll an A in unit 2 and a C in unit 1. I actually took politics as an extra AS outside of school so i was doing 5 AS levels. I just revised the day before tbh and did not try at all.

AS was mad easy now i think about it, its so basic. A2 on the other hand is just long

AS is mad easyyy ! there is so much to know for ideologies. I heard that socialism should come up in the 15s whilst anarchism will be a 45 but im not really sure. What grade are you looking to get overall this year.

I got the exact same exam grades in politics AS as you! :rofl:

literally, AS is so basic lol and yes i heard the same! socialism probably 2 15 markers and I'm hoping to get A in the resit and maybe at least an A overall would really like an A* but ideologies will let me down for sure wbu?

I do ideologies too and I'm hoping for A/A*. :smile:

Not finding A2 easy, that's for sure - a common theme amongst ideologies students!

If my teacher was maybe half as good as he thinks he is maybe i'd be more confident lol literally so stressed about whats to come.. Every other exam i'm calm about its just politics thats messing with my head
