Sorry I realise now you're talking about a level it used to be standard GCSE stuff.

Well done but don't you think education in general is a bit mediocre?

Why not? A great man who refused to leave London while it was being bombed by the Germans, overcame his stutter, replaced his useless brother who would have made peace with Germany, a man who snubbed his South African body guards as the Gestapo because of their support of apartheid.

I don't think we should all be clones of anyone, everyone has eccentricities, but there are far worse people to be than George VI

Because he comes from another planet?

What? Do you mean his wealth?
Did you know many members of his family were killed during the war?

Class hatred is why I despise socialism, rich or poor in this country, it does make you immune from personal tragedy or decency.

Yeah definitely. It isn't the pupils fault though, it's the poor standards imo.

It surely is the pupils' fault. Any sign of even a negligible increase of difficulty in any exam paper and there is outrage on social media.

Not in those times, the palace itself was attacked in the blitz. I don't 'dote' them, I don't consider the royals or wealthy to be anyway superior, or different to anyone else, but I do recognise as people in power they have been the ones to make key decisions, such as not signing an armistice with Germany.

Calculus comes as standard in a C1, but it was quite a bit more difficult than any C1 paper previously.

ermmm not in MEI.... you have to wait for C2 before getting your hands on those bad-ass skilz

The question is why?
Why does this happen?

Not at all, I don't take anyone seriously who uses the word bourgeoise, sounds awfully lot like sixth form socialism and that dreadful out of date Marxist ideology which rears its ugly head now and then.

You have the bourgeoise to thank for most of the country not being poor and in slavery to begin with.

Depends what school you are talking about. Private schools (well some of them) and grammar schools have, in my opinion, very high levels of education. But it really depends on the teachers you have an the school you go to.

Regarding higher levels of education in the past, I would disagree, as although there may not be the depth of knowledge in some subjects (we only analyse Latin literature, not write it) then breadth is larger, as many people do at least 10 gcses and some do 4 or 5 a levels, literally unheard of 30 years ago.

You're being ridiculous everyone helps themselves to the trappings of being a bourgeois these days 40 years ago everyone was a Bohemian.

Well discounting private and grammar education is mediocre.

I don't think Bohemianism is anything to take pride in, it was the bourgeoise in this country which abolished slavery, introduced social security and nationalised medicine, parliamentary democracy, the basis of civil legal systems based on presumption of innocence, industrialised living conditions supplying food at low prices, thousands of things which make your life easier.

If you want to go experience real class hatred you're more than free to move to a country which practices it. You likely won't be free to return though, they won't let you.
