OUR Engineering GCSE Tuesday 24th May 2016

Edit: The title should say OCR, not OUR (blame the autocorrect on my tablet :/)

Is anyone doing this exam tomorrow? It doesn't seem to be very common, and I've only ever seen one thread about it. How are you feeling about the exam tomorrow?

I'm mostly fine with all the stuff we need to know except components, as pretty much anything could come up. Hopefully it will be one of the questions where they give you six components and you choose three for the question.

(Also if anyone wants any last minute notes I can give you pictures of parts of my revision because there are very few resources online and no course textbook as far as I know.)

That would be absolutely awesome if you could!!
I am doing it. Engineering is tommorow. And one thing, learn the mark schemes because it contains so much answers. Literally!
And i wish to have the scarce resources you have for revision sil vous plait

Anything particular you want? (Or I'm fine doing everything, but be warned some parts are messy!)

Literally anything would be a big help, I'm just not sure I've got everything, in the mocks I got like one off an A*, i don't want that to happen again !!!

Well done on your mock! I got a mid B grade, mainly because our teacher never actually taught us most of the unit, but mainly just gave us blank sheets to fill in - which would be fine if it was a popular GCSE with lots of resources available, but unfortunately it isn't. Luckily most of our class has managed to teach ourselves and each other the unit. I took pictures of all my notes and they're uploading to a drive folder right now, but it could take a while before all 70ish photos upload
Hopefully this link will work https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/mobile/folders/0B-r2fgcRzAs_N3V6bTVOSHFOLU0/0B-r2fgcRzAs_RjRKeVJMcHRyeUE?sort=13&direction=a
If not let me know

I have a working link now (I hope) https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-r2fgcRzAs_T1dWT09YblFQaHc/view?usp=sharing

If you click on the folder called THIS ONE it contains photos uploading in a different order. The folder the link is to has photos uploading from my tablet and the folder called THIS ONE has them uploading from my phone's SD card which I've put in the computer I'm using and hopefully one of them will finish uploading at some point without the internet crashing or something

I've been using past mark schemes for things like definitions to see what I need ot include for full marks e.g. for alloys + composites you need to refer to improved characteristics. For polymers, you need to say they're plastics, made of chains, joined together (or somehting like that)
I agree that they're useful!

Hi, link leads to one photo meaning we cannot view the whole folder.
The photo helps but more would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi yes that works, thank you very much for these resources - it is very appreciated. Our teacher didn't give us much other than this which you may find useful: http://www.eastbarnetschool.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/GCSE-Engineering-Revision-Checklist.pdf
Thanks again.

Did anyone else notice that the first question was visible through the front page? I could see the words paint and microwave as I was filling in my name before the exam began and when I was waiting for my paper to be collected at the end I noticed that the list of engineering sectors and other words in the table were also visible.
