The answer to number 1 a is that overly skinny models will no longer be allowed to be on the catwalk - "Modelos demasiadas flacas no permitirían participate en las pasarelas" - from what I remember!

I made that mistake too ! haha Ops

Thank you ! we start A2 in June I hope it's interesting and not too analytical!

We started in June too! And A2 is honestly more interesting than AS and the vocab isn't that hard so don't worry

A2 Spanish is much better in my opinion, I just really hate the style of the essays in AS. Its much more flexible with the essays and with the translation too.

I am pretty sure it was "se van a comprometer", because that was the only sentence at the end that referred to them both. Also I looked up "comprometer" on spanishdict and amongst the range of translations, "to get engaged" was one. So makes the most sense to me imo

but do you remember seeing it in the article that it had se van a comprometer because i thought it only said 'se comprometer'
what you remember?

I agree, for me writing an A2 essay is just like writing an English Lit essay and the questions are nicer too because somehow you can link everything you have learnt into it. For the translation I need to work on that, thats what brings me down:cry:
I think I only got 20 marks ish lol

I am 93-97% sure
Guys  how much would you say AS grades matter in terms of getting into a good uni? Due to the changes that some as exams don't count towards the A level? I've got 8A*'s and 4A's at GCSE and I think A level I might get DDDC or worse ! D: It's such a weird balance
do you think i'd get the mark for saying they promote eating problems instead of disorders for question 1?

Listening:

Like 24/35 because I did the first part in Spanish and they were English questions. Anyone know how many marks exactly the first question was?

Reading:

I'd say 35/40. Lost two marks probably with all the VNF stuff and I wrote tuvieron, puso, and frío

Writing:

Like 32-34/35 I think I did quite well lots of points (question 10) wrote 3.5 pages with lots of different verbs and nice wide range of vocab

Overall as I said like 90-93/110. I am hoping for an A and then good marks in the speaking (went well). So it could JUST be an A. That bloody listening. That is what I get for working my ass off isn't it!! Amazing thanks a lot life.

How many points did you do for the essay?

1) Fashion

5) David and Hugo
F - not his first boyfriend, said he has just broken up with someone
N - said birthday but didn't specify it was his birthday
V - something about meeting the next day
F - they'd already moved in together
V - question was about knowing what to wear to the wedding, it said they'd already bought their suits
N? - working in the hotel
N? - I think it said there were a hundred guests at the wedding but the extract didn't say numbers, can't remember the question that well tbh
V - boats and cruises

6) Prison guy
atraco -> robo

for the 7th setence in question 9 the answer was not 'demasiado' but 'demasiada' im pretty sure because does it not change depending on the gender of the noun which was publicidad?

Tbh i found the listening slightly more difficult, the reading a bit more difficult and the essay was fine-they were really nice with their essay titles imo

1 thing i wanted to ask was what people thought about the first sentence on question 9. You see i had already revised my grammar well so i knew all tenses/moods but my teacher had mentioned that we don't need to know / use any subjunctive other than present subjunctive in year 1 yet tuvieran came up today. How can this be? Was there another option that people could have used or was aqa just feeling extra mean or something? :s-smilie:

You needed imperfect subjunctive, if your teacher told you that you didn't need to know that then that sucks, I'm sorry. I think I learnt it last year but I can't really remember, I guess it's on the syllabus if they asked about it :dontknow:
