What do you think the grade boundaries will be like compared to other years?
That paper was terribly difficult, I was not expecting this at all!

Hoping grade boundaries are between 60-65% for an A

In the old spec it was usually around 70% for an A and lots of people found it difficult maybe around 48 for an A?

That's like 68.5%!
It'll probably be like 43 or 44/70

Hey what did everyone get for that question where you had to estimate the amount of bits used in the signal with the graph? i put 5 bits, is that right?

It was 4 bits because there were only 16 levels so log^2(16) =4

Did anyone else put A down in succession for a few of the multiple choice

I thought it was 8 and there was 3 samples for each level and 2 to the power 3 is 8 :/

Yeah your probs right especially with it being a new spec
Is there an unofficial mark scheme?

I can't remember if the question said or not but usually for those kind of questions they ignore air resistance

If there is no air resistance how could it reach terminal velocity. It may accelerate until it reaches ground

I counted 17 levels.... dammit

Last question, OCR put in the table Distance (s) when it should be Distance (m). Good job.

Hope I've got at least a C.

Yeah I get it now I messed up on that question 😒

Wait...where are you getting these levels from? I counted 8 so I must have misinterpreted the graph. :frown:

I just counted every plateau there was.... not necessarily correct!

Got 24.63 for the velocity of the crash or something like that

is there an noficial mark scheme

Does anyone have the practice papers?

Is there a depth thread?
How many significant figures or decimal places are we meant to use?
