2.View of the Society

mini-conclusion
3.View of the State

etc.
4.View of Economy or Moral view *

How are you revising?
There is so much content I really wish I did USA?
I've got the Heywood book and whilst it's not bad..:it's so hard to to take in so much info

3 weeks hun
I haven't even started revising ecologism or feminism ,and didn't finish socialism so don't worry ! You will be fine.
Just look at past questions/examiners reports/mark schemes ,make sure you know basics, they don't expect deep knowledge
Remember to get A* you need only 76 marks,it's not too bad
Heywood is hard but hey he designed the exam ,so follow the lad and you will do fine :*

Thatchers New right is a contradiction of TRADITIONAL /BURKEAN Conservatism (reflected in neo-conservative strand of New right) and Classical liberalism ( reflected in neo-liberal strand). In this sense, they both take different views on human nature etc. though both do agree on rolling back of the state
Can anyone give me a link to where I could find a list of all the examiners reports for the Ideologies side (Conservatism/Liberalism/Anarchism/Socialism)? Thanks.

Edexcel website
anyone got 3c or 4c predictions??
I need some help decoding the markscheme! Would anyone be able to tell me what "synoptic skills" or "synopticity" actually looks like in practice. My teachers have said it is referencing other viewpoints outside of the ideology (of the question you're answering) often writing about another ideology seems forced and inapplicable????????????????

I believe it refers to covering various competing traditions within an ideology. In a 45 marker exclusively about multiculturalism, for example, you would be expected to explore the cosmopolitan strand, the liberal strand and the pluralist strand. I think your teacher is talking about bringing in ideological critiques - which also demonstrates synoptic skills. Of course, you won't be able to do the latter all the time, but covering the various traditions is essential.
anyone doing 3d and 4d? there is so much content its killing me

I don't always write a definition, not all questions call for a definition, anyway.
Three or four points should be sufficient - yes.

Not for 15 markers, no. In place of an intro, perhaps (but don't get caught up on this) a brief one line statement to make a smooth transition into the discussion. But I wouldn't write a conclusion at all.

Think I'm going to need some better revision tactics for this. :erm: My revision attempts are always futile.
Anyone like to recommend a way to memorise key distinctions between strands? Particularly anarchism - it's hard to differentiate.
