http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/atta...1&d=1464204940 <-- NEW PDF. This is V2 and has been layed out in a more stylish manner and has Q 9c corrected

Edit: to satisfy my ocd, the real scanned paper will be hitting shelves soon.

For question 7 would you lose a mark for not putting +c on the integral?

I think so, the question didn't specify limits in (a) so without + c you are technically incorrect.

What was the exact wording of the question ?

What was the exact wording of the question ?

find (3xx32)dx\int (3x-x^{\frac{3}{2}})dx
If I got x = ~17 and didn't sub back into P, how many marks do you reckon I'll lose?

Usually the mark scheme says (+c) in brackets as in previous years, so I don't think you'd lose a mark

In previous years its in brackets and not required

2 i think cause u made a rounding error and never subbed for the min value

Could you link me the markscheme for a question like this from a previous year?

Wasn't 6i

12cos(θπ5)1-2cos(\theta -\frac{\pi}{5})

and not

12sin(θπ5)1-2sin(\theta -\frac{\pi}{5})
For the perimeter question, if I substituted x=17, how many marks can I expect to lose ?

we are on to V4 now http://docdro.id/18BTG2C

Thanks

6 12sin(θπ5)=01-2\sin(\theta - \frac{\pi}{5})=0 solve for θ\theta and 4cos2x+7sinx2=04\cos^2 x + 7\sin x - 2 = 0

6 i) (3 marks) 8π15\frac{8\pi}{15}or 2π15\frac{-2\pi}{15}
ii) (6 marks)
Unparseable latex formula:

345.5$^{\circ}$

or
Unparseable latex formula:

194.5$^{\circ}$

Is question 6 written out correctly? I get 11π30\frac{11\pi}{30}or 31π30\frac{31\pi}{30}

EDIT: Seen that there have been amendments since then. Shouldn't 8i) be a59\frac{a-5}{9}?

That's what I thought, I did get 16.something though, and did work out f"(x) > 0, which usually gives you 2 marks (you don't need to sub)
