So because it's to 0.5 cm, the actual value could have been 4, 4.5 or 5

Therefore the upper bound is halfway between 4.5 and 5, which is 4.75

cause 0.5 means half a cm therefor the upper bound it 4.75 and the lower bound is 2.25 , I'm probably wrong so don't take my word for it

I am fairly sure my answers are correct' here are some of the harder questions answers:

Last question: range 185-188 acceptable
Probability: lots of people got different answers; I got 5/28
Angle ODC question: 63 degrees
Re-arranging question: t= 1+3m/m-1 (something like that)
Cubes question: 1439 cubes
Rupees question: 52%
Volume of vase (or whatever it was): 102.4cmcubed


For the last question it is 188 - you need to keep all the numbers in you calculator each time. They won't accept anything less.

The easiest thing to do is to halve the accuracy that it is given to. So 0.5/2 is 0.25. For the upper bound, you add 0.25, for the lower bound, you take away 0.25
Usually they give an allowance of +1/-1 off the answer, in this case 187 to 189

Really? In my experience you have to write down every number in your calculator without rounding - especially if it asks for a certain number of sig figs

The R stands for regional. It's done by students abroad. I've always found the HR harder than the normal one but idk maybe it's a coincidence :/

Yeah, that's true; it's best to store it on your calculator to avoid the hassle. On the mark scheme, it does give some leeway.

im pretty sure just the regions. different regions do different ones for e.g asia does HR (i think) and from what i've experienced i think HR papers are slightly harder.
