From the surds question i've seen.

ABD = 1/2 x rt2/2 x rt2/2 = 2/8 = 1/4

ABC = 1/2 x rt3/3 x rt2/2 = rt6/12

ABD - ABC = 1/4 - rt6/12

Wouldn't get full marks I don't think as you can write it all over 12.

(3-√6)/12

what did u get cuz in the beginning i got the whole area of the triangle as 0.5 then i worked out the smaller one and i took both areas away but i couldnt work it out?

The large triangle was 1/2*√2/2*√2/2 = 2/8 = 1/4

The small triangle was 1/2*√3/3*√2/2= √6/12

Large triangle - Small triangle = gray area

1/4 - √6/12 is equivalent to (3 - √6)/12

Simplified to T=x+4y

There are people on this forum who have not yet sat this exam. Some may be asking to confirm questions and answers only to get the questions and answers for when they sit it later today. The grades will rise if you give answers on here. Do not jeopardise your grade by giving answers until tomorrow.

no there's not, it's illegal for that to happen, anyone who missed the exam at 9am today has to do a different exam

That's wrong.

I think the questionnaire/survey question also awarded marks for creating a better question- not sure though but normally is out of 2 marks
Also there was question on envelopes and putting it in a t=x+y format, I believe the answer was y=5x+20y, cant remember the question number

It did award that, but I'm worried that if I create one then people will take it too literally and panic. I might anyhow in a bit.

And yes, there was a question, but I can't quite remember the number and that's what's troubling me.

Thanks anyhow!

You can't do 100-25pi without multiplying out the Pi first. BODMAS.

Haven't seen the question with my own eyes, did it specify a form? e.g. a-rt6/b for example

Wasn't the probability tree 0.8 x 0.95? Some people are saying 0.8 and 0.04?
Can someone remind me what Q18 was?

it was 0.8 x 0.05 =0.04

I got 3.8 and 2.2 for the simultaneous equation

I think for that question you have to draw the y=-x+6 and den state the points at which they intersect the parabola for both the X any Y co-ordinates. I think you are meant to get two sets of results
noo you cant do that because you are not dividing the left side by 5 (T)
It is T=5x+ 20y

it was 0.8 x 0.05 =0.04

Think about it,
The probability of it not raining in June and the match not being cancelled.
0.04 doesn't make much sense.

You can't do 10-2x4 = 8x4

That's the logic of 100-25pi = 75pi

It's completely flawed.

Exact means surds.

OMG so i wasted 30 mins trying to figure out the exact figure and then wrote down 0.50?!

I've dropped 8 cuz I'm stoooopid feels bad man.

Ahhh I know man, all the marks I ever drop on maths tests are for stupid reasons, and what I really hate is when I come out and realise I actually could have answered it easily!

Yep I believe it was 0.8*0.95 = 0.76
