Yes as the blood will contain memory cells and the specific antibodies needed to kill the pathogen

did anyone else put thicker alveolar walls so increased diffusion pathway and lung tissue loses elasticity so cannot recoil for the qs on what happens to lungs after smoking?
What does everyone think the grade boundaries will be like

Because it was to do with smoking - linked to emphysema

Alveoli burst - Dec SA
Elastin becomes permanently stretched - CG not maintained - struggle to breathe out

Exactly what I put, increased diffusion pathway and lower surface area
About the decrease in ph when Triglecrides are hydloyseD:

forms an acidic solution?

and the one about why ph remains constant at 2

because Trigly not hydloysed as enzyme is limiting as enzymes active site are saturated/occupied

I said triglycerides were limiting factor because it didn't specify enzyme concentration

Lactase hydrolyses triglycerides into fatty acids, so oh lowers

What did you all put for the conclusions for the untreated lactose and treated lactose?

I put becomes more acidic as ester bond broken therefore forms carboxlyic acid which is acidic

Second Q I put all ester bonds had been broken and all triglycerides had been hydrolysed
i found the paper harder than last years, what i found hard seems to be what everybody else is finding hard here so hopefully the grade boundaries will be low i hope it will be like 41-43 for an A

thought that was quite a nice exam tbh, grade boundaries will be really high especially since it's only a2 students sitting it

What else did people put for the triglyceride question about ph constant?

Were triglycerides limiting factor (what I put) or enzyme?
Was there a question about where trypsin was made in the pancreas?
