Really?? I remember a past paper (2012) I think & it was 62 for a C. Are you sure 67 is an A? It seems like quite low for an A.

I'm sure for a C, it is around 32 marks
per paper

With harsh marking i got 83%. Will that be enough for an A*?

This is the completed mark scheme for the 26/05/2016 mathematics non-calculator paper.

If there are any mistakes, please tell me.

Reps would be appreciated, but are not necessary.

Spoiler

question 12 - could I have factorised? I said 5(20-5pi) I believe?

I harshly marked myself and got 99, whoops I should have checked my work again silly me. Hopefully I get 100 next test

Thats amazing! Ive learned my lesson to always do practice papers. Tbh, i was rushing towards the end cuz i did really long methods ( long division).

If you get 100 in calc that's 155, best case scenario, which depending on grade boundaries MIGHT get you an A

actuall A is between 120-130
Yeah 75% as it was was anything above the lower quartile

is it okay if i simplified it to -4pi
would i get marks?
What do you reckon the grade boundaries will be for the paper? I was hoping to do well but I made the most stupidest mistakes and lost incredibly easy marks plus the paper was hard!?

no.

Edit:

Depends, did you identify it was originally 100-25pi? If so you'd get 1 mark for method.
yeah, sadly
what do you think the grade boundaries will be like? i got approx 74/100 and want to get an A* so i know i nned to get 95+ in the next exam any tips anyone?

Many people in my year did 100- 25pi = 75, would we lose a mark?

An A* is normally around 162+ I believe apart from the exception of last year and I believe an A ranges from about 122-137ish however I think this paper was quite easy so as long as the calculator paper is easy Aswell the grade boundaries will be on the higher side I think

Thanks so much for this, I seems like I only made a 2mark mistake. Feeling a lot better now.
