The thing is that we had two exams today, ict and maths. And ict was after maths so i barely remember any of the questions that came in the maths exam

I'm really nervous about the 4hr paper because 1) there is a 2 week gap and 2) this paper was easy

the scale factor was 2.25
so you just do

y^2 = x^2 / 2.25^2

which is =

y^2 = x^2 / 5.0625

then you square root that so you get

y= √(x / 5.0625)

isn't that right? what'd you do?

I thought it was the area of small triangle(y) x 2.25^2 to get the area of big triangle(z for example) then from that you subtract the area of small triangle(y) to get the area of quadrilateral(x), so basically

2.25^2 y- y = x
y(2.25^2-1) = x
y = x/(2.25^2-1)

therefore y = x/4.0625

I don't know what's right anymore because people got a range of answers for this.

Is that k=-3.25?

Yeah! from what I remember I got k = -3.25 and lots of other people also agreed with me :-)

These were the answers i remembered :
1 a) 21
1 b) 100

3) brown marble 210

4) exterior angle 45

5) percentage = 25.76 and 37.5

circle theorem = 20 degrees

probability of colors = 0.3

probability of Linford winning : 0.368375

histogram = 35 and the frequency density was 0.6

proving surds = 3(6a + 2a^2) ??

k = -3.25

last question = 48.2

Your answer is right cause x/4.0652 *16 =16x/65

im pretty sure my answer's wrong. most people got 16x/65 and if you divide 16x/65 by 16 you get x/4.0625 so maybe its close? idk

sorry i was wrong, i think your answer's right. most people got 16x/65 and if you divide 16x/65 by 16 you get x/4.0625 so yeah :smile:

yeah but I guess both these answers do make sense so lets hope they're right!
does anyone remember the proving surds question like exactly word by word?
Posted from TSR Mobile
I think u just expand the brackets and that'd be 6a-3a^2 which is proof cause everything multiplied by 6 and 3 is a multiple of 3

How about the drawing one?
I got translation (4 -6 )

i also gave an example for the surds question, is that ok?

I don't think anything extra would let you lose marks.. As long as you have the right answer

Do you remember the question for the second part of the percentage question?

Yeah it was something like the price reduced was by £3 in the sale and so we had to find the normal price

I did 3/0.08 for that and got 37.5
