Yes it is unlikely and it is very little but it is something, in the overall picture it is insignificant but at least I have mentioned it to show people there is hope and to bring it further into the spotlight rather than belittle a small gesture.

Personally if I want to make a difference I try and actively do something about the issue rather than just posting about it (not trying to say you should go on a rescue mission or something).
Each to their own I guess.
