The attached picture is from my revision guide. It was 3.2W so it would have been 0.0032kW. Also, 1075p would have been quite expensive for just a couple of minutes of electricity for the computer

The answer must be 10.8p then when rounded up.
That was the worst exam I have ever done. I was prepared for it as I had done A LOT of P1 revision but I understood nothing from the paper. I thought the questions could've been worded a lot clearly than they were and there was too much maths in it!! :frown::frown:

i also got that but my friends are saying its wrong and they are comparing their answers with mine (they both think they got everything right)!!!!! :s-smilie::angry::s-smilie::colonhash::u:

lol are they cleverer than you? If they're not we could have got it right!

The answer had to be 1p, as you had to convert W into kW when using that formula.

What
Original post by arniebob
What

1). 32/1000 = 0.032kw <-- To convert w to kw you divide it by 1000
2). 0.032 * 24 * 14 = 10.752p
3) Rounded up to 1dp = 10.8p

I think that should be right, i don't know if i went wrong somewhere :/

Did not like the first six marker at all! Really confusing as you would think shallow water would be less dense but no. Also they snuck in a cheeky blue shift question in there.

omg, I knew it was blue shift, but we only really ever know about red shift so I thought red shift, well damn
What question was asking about blue shift?!??? :0

I think it was B
I put down C but I asked all my friends and they all seem to have gotten different answers.

It was either B or D because you had to add up the amount of joules as far as i remember and on the y axis it had something like 1500 joules on B or D

I think its B cuz majority of people put B
