Why is Bulgaria in the EU

It has the roughly the same GDP per capita as African states - about $7K per capita.How on earth is that country in the EU?We might as well have Botswana (also $7K per capita).Its meant to be a group of similar developed nations - or there about

It's meant to promote the growth of European nations. But it's really struggling when bigots like yourself oppose it.

Surely its racist to help bulgaria instead of the old commonwealth (West Indies, Nigeria, Pakistan, India etc)
.
Why should you want to help white nations and not others?

Note who is calling whom a bigot...
What do you mean help white nations out

Bulgaria contributes to the EU and the EU contributes to the development of Bulgaria. Surely this is what happens with all EU member states?

Greece, its next door neighbour, gets ZILLIONS more from the EU than Bulgaria and Bulgaria is MILES AND MILES poorer. Some people suggest that some UK EU money is actually going to Greece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that would be more or less criminal when there are all sorts of people in the world in far far far worse shape than this - to give it to this lot of dodgy governments. Its criminal

Well, I think that perhaps because Bulgaria joined in 2007, it is not being aided as much as Greece. And isn't Greece like a top priority right now?

The EU have helped Bulgaria with many projects, e.g. Building the new Terminal 2 in Sofia Intl Airport and giving equipment and funding to build walls along the border with Turkey to prevent migrants from illegally accessing Bulgaria.

are you kidding???? Have you looked at their EU funded pension plans?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/personalfinance/pensions/11291209/Greece-spends-more-on-pensions-than-UK.html

Why should we give money to Greek pensioners to be richer than ours? They already have the sun and sea... The whole thing is absurd.

Once more its closit racist. The aim is to make EU self sufficient in "white" labour at the expense of West Indies, Pakistan, Bangledesh , India and Nigeria.
You try and come here from one of those countries now - its quite hard. A greek or pole can just walk in. The EU is white supremacist.

To be honest the highest numbers of migrants entering this country are from the ex commonwealth countries. Even in my area of East London, I see only a small number of Poles or Greeks living hear. Far less then those from places like India and Bangladesh.

And also the UK does give aid to the commonwealth.

Also from your source: "This is down to these nations’ ageing populations and the economic meltdown they have suffered since the financial crisis, which has caused other state spending to shrink."

Do you even know what the word bigot means?

Small minded, intolerant of others' views. Stretching as far as racial opposition/intolerance. I'm referring to the multiple other threads around these similar topics

Surely the first person to use the word "bigot" is the most intolerant of another persons views?

Going back to Greece - via economist:

civil servants in Greece employed before 1992 can retire after 35 years service, if they have reached 58, and retire on 80% of their final basic salary. That certainly sounds a great deal more generous than similar civil service schemes in Germany, whichseem to insist on 40 years of service, and set the pensions rates in the low 70% range of final basic salaries.You can see why that makes Germans cross.

Why should we pay NET MONEY into the EU so our pensioners can't retire at 58 on 80% of final salary? Why should we pay for some other countries pensions to live the life of riley in the Med and sun, when our pensioners have to live in the cold , rain and don't get a penny until 67 and then no where near 80% of previous salary.

Strategic position?
The EU is racist. It wants to create a European empire. It will end in devastation, just like Hitler's Germany did. The world has nukes now.

Not really. The EU has a number of aims and admitting Bulgaria is perfectly acceptable as long as they adopts those aims and values. They might be poor now, but they can be a source of cheap labour and future consumers when they develop.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE UNION

Article I-3 of the Constitutional Treaty, which covers the internal and external objectives of the Union, merges the provisions of the EU Treaty and those of the EC Treaty. These objectives must guide the Union in the defining and implementation of all its policies.

The main objectives of the Union are now to promote peace, the Union's values and the well-being of its peoples.

These general objectives are supplemented by a list of more detailed objectives:

an internal market where competition is free and undistorted;

sustainable development, based on balanced economic growth and price stability, a highly competitive social market economy, aiming at full employment and social progress, and a high level of protection and improvement of the quality of the environment;

the promotion of scientific and technological advance;

the combating of social exclusion and discrimination, and the promotion of social justice and protection, equality between women and men, solidarity between generations and protection of the rights of the child;

the promotion of economic, social and territorial cohesion, and solidarity among Member States.

In addition, the Union respects cultural and linguistic diversity and ensures that Europe's cultural heritage is safeguarded and enhanced.

yeah right, that is why they have kept Turkey out all these years - its certainly no worse, arguably a lot better than Bulgaria. This stuff is not worth the paper its written on. We all know why, the EU is racist.
These nations drag the EU down they don't help it.
Also just pointing out, Bulgaria is one of the largest producers of rose oil :yep:

Turkey has been in accession talks since 1987. There are 35 heads of negotiations whereby someone wanting to join must convince the EU they accpet their standards and values. In nearly 30 years of talks they have agreed one head and only talked about 15 areas. They will not go to the next stage until they have satisfied all 35 areas. These include the occupation of Cyrpus, which wont be resolved any time soon. If you did some research then you might gain an understanding how it works instead of coming up with these crackpot ideas of yours.

Obviously Bulgaria managed to conclude negotiations in all areas.
