I doubt it. The instructions are very clear. Anything else will be interpreted as ambiguous.
Yes. If you did not put a line through the wrong answer and only circled it, the examiner will not know what your intentions were and will be left with guessing. Under those conditions, the examiner has no alternative than to disregard your answer.
