btec extended diploma in applied science and unis

hello, i would really appreciate a response.
if you are doing the btec extended diploma, what courses have you applied for and at which unis?
Do universities even accept BTEC? I study btec myself but fear unis wont accept me for the courses i would like to do.

95%+ of UK unis accept BTEC

I did a Computing BTEC a gew years ago and got offers from everywhere that I applied and now am in my second year of an MSci Computer science degree at a top 20 uni.

I know a bit about the Applied Science BTEC and popular degree choices include: Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Nutrition/Dietetics, Radiography, Forensic Science, Biotechnology etc.

I think the 'best' unis that you can get into are as follows:

UCL- http://www.ucl.ac.uk/prospectivestudents/undergraduate/degrees/applied-medical-sciences-bsc/
Southampton - consider on individual basis - BSc Biochemistry
York - http://www.york.ac.uk/biology/undergraduate/programmes/biology/#course-applying
Nottingham - http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/ugstudy/applying/access-btec-entryrequirements.aspx - Biotechnology, Nutrition or Phisiotherepy - DDD/DDM
Surrey - http://www.surrey.ac.uk/subjects/biosciences-and-medicine
Bath - http://www.bath.ac.uk/study/ug/prospectus/subject/biology-biochemistry-molecular-cellular-biology/entry-requirements/
Lancaster - http://www.lancaster.ac.uk/study/undergraduate/courses/biomedical-science-bsc-hons-b990/#entrycriteria

Thanks, just remember that yiu have a lot more options with BTEC than you probably realise, if you can get good grades you can easily get into a top uni like some of the ones i listed, good luck

Yeah dont be put off by moving, its one of the best parts of uni if i am being honest! so much fun people I know who live at home really regret it as they miss out on so much, just make sure the course is right and the location is somewhere you'd be happy living for 3/4 years, thanks
Hi I justill finished my first yeare of btec applied science extend diploma in finished off overall with good grades of DD however my attendance for my first year was not really good as I had a very low percentage I just want to know how much this will affect my chances at uni as I am gonna be applying this year I would really appreciate a response
