How to stop procrastination?

Whenever I tell myself I'm going to revise, I keep getting distracted and check my social media constantly, and I can't help it!! Any advice to actually do revision and stop procrastionation? Do you procrastinate?

Sounds stupid but they do some stuff to your brain that keeps you focused. It really does wonders. At least give it a go.
Download an extension that blocks websites you waste time on, give your parents your phone, change the password on social media accounts and make sure only a friend knows the password. Allow yourself an hour or two in the evening to look foreward to after a long day of revision. I deleted facebook a few months ago and I don't even miss it.

I'm quite a bit of a procrastinater but I'd recommend starting on YouTube specifically revision videos or past paper walk-through as it will make you feel like answering questions. Then start off with the easy things and then slowly build it up. Also think about having a reward at the end. Thats all I can think of hope it helps

Thanks, it's just that I get easily distracted and I'm revising the subjects that I hate the most which makes me more likely not to revise for them :L

It lasted about 10 minutes before I got distracted and went out and watched X-men (which was really good) :sogood:

Come off the internet to start with
You need to start getting real with yourself - what's more important, social media or studying for exams? You need to value your revision more and accept that the only way you're gonna do well is if you just step away from the social media for a while and work your ass off revising.

No-one else can change it for you, you have to force yourself and yes it's sucky and you don't wanna do it blah blah that doesn't matter, just do something about it.
