Definition of stratified sampling?

Random sampling - where everyone within the population has an equal chance of being picked.

Startified sampling - Stratified sampling is a probability sampling technique wherein the researcher divides the entire population into different subgroups or strata, then randomly selects the final subjects proportionally from the different strata.

Learn both they have come in a maths gcse calc before, also you need to know a method for random sampling.
