virginity is a social construct and yes if you view it as significant fine but in reality this doesn't change who you are as a person

That's the thing, you think you have a time limit, you don't, you have all your life.

On my course everybody used to bang on about how if you were 18 or 19 without a kiss/ girlfriend or sex, you were a loser.

I believed this bullcrap and as I neared 18, I thought "Oh, I'm gonna be a loser all my life." and so I went to see what it was like and paid a hooker.

Believe me when I say this, the way you feel now will be nowhere near how bad you will feel afterwards if you do this.

And there is nothing wrong with that. Don't feel like some loser because you haven't done any of that. Personally I now think it is all overhyped and people think they are the **** once they do all of this. That's what I was thinking. But seriously it's not worth it. Just wait until your right time and enjoy uni life.

There isn't anything particularly special about virginity in itself.

Very few people lose their virginity to somebody they truly love. It is not a holy ritual. It is just sex.

Accept that this sort of thing is probably not for you. Wait for a nice girlfriend before your next time if you feel that strongly about it.

So what? I don't see why you should feel so filthy. I'm guessing you just wanted to lose your virginity. As long as no one got hurt, it's not a problem. But what would be a problem is if it became a habit of yours. Make sure it does't. Also, maybe make up a story for when someone asks you how you lost your virginity (trust me on that one).
So? It was a human being. Losing it to a one night stand is no more exciting.

A lot of people at uni have made fun of me/make fun of me for having no experience, and I know I shouldn't listen to people but I would be lying to myself if I said it didn't get to me.. :frown:

It makes me feel like **** when I realise everyone has been screwing since like 15 and I have only ever been rejected time and time again because of my appearance (something I can't change lol). So nowadays I just try not to think about sex or girls because as soon as I do it makes me realise how pathetic I am and I soon start feeling like **** again :frown: :frown: :frown:

And I know people say 'oh it'll happen when you least expect it' but I'm starting to become really sceptical of that now.
Don't understand why some people pay for sex ?
