Oxford don't offer Economics single honours.

Assuming you therefore mean Cambridge then see http://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/applying/entrance-requirements/gcse-and-a-level-requirements-facts and http://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/courses/economics and http://www.econ.cam.ac.uk/ba/prereq.html

There's no requirement for achievement in AS subjects as long as you're predicted the correct A level grades.

Also see https://web.archive.org/web/20150305164512/http://www.econ.cam.ac.uk/ba/EconTalk.pdf which talks about success rate being influenced mainly by your maths/econ AS UMS exceeding 90%.

Yes but be aware most Cambridge Economics applicants will also have FM. And for some colleges it's a requirement.

And typical offer is now A*A*A, so if you are on target for that it's worth applying.

Yep
I got AAAB but I don't think they minded because the B was in English Lit and I applied for NatSci

Yeah I realised it was a stupid mistake not doing fm, so I'll be taking it up next year, hopefully I'll get those A*s
