M1 speed time graph question

Screenshot_2016-06-06-10-41-32.pnghi can someone explain how to draw the graph for part a . The answer is a b shape graph but I have got a different answer. I think that's to do with the difference between a velocity time graph and a speed time graph .

Is this because speed is always positive and the graph I drew is a velocity time graph ?
