i think you should learn it just to be on the safe side but the test for lipids did come up last year for one mark.

Biological molecules

Probably enzymes , comparisons between cellulose , glycogen , glucose e.c.t and maybe comparisons with haemoflobin and collagen

Proteins - tertiary structures
DNA stuff

Food and health - using microorganisms in food production
- methods to stop food getting off E.c.t
- smoking effects on lungs

Ecology - conservation, cites, rhio convention , natural selection.. Generally easier stuff than last year hopefully

These might come up because I have never seen a question on them:

1) state that metabolic poisons may be enzyme inhibitors and describe the action of one named poison

2) state that some medicinal drugs work by inhibiting the activity of enzymes

This is so true ... Tbh you can know the whole book inside out.. Have done all of the papers .. Learnt all the mark schemes and still not get a high grade just because of the amount of application based questions and difficulty of the questions under such a strict time limit . It's impossible to predict what kind of questions they're gonna ask and impossible to make guesses as to what's worth a mark or not when you're answering questions
