Alright, since my headteacher is a bitch, she told our year group that if we are going to retake our gcse's we need to retake 2 whole extra years due to the new spec but we found out that she was lying because she doesn't want people re-doing. So is the following correct: in summer 2017 the only subjects that will have a changed specification is english and maths but in november 2016 there will be retakes for these subjects (old spec) and in summer 2017 every other subject apart from maths and english will be old spec??
