I've applied due to an illness in the family. Does anyone know when you are told if you've been accepted?

You generally aren't but if you really feel you need to know then your exams officer can check the status of the application. The exams officer can only submit applications after the date of the affected exams so don't even both asking until a couple of weeks after your last exam. What you don't find out is how many % more they will give you (despite all the claims about how much people got on TSR)
