M1 Particle on a block on a slope

Hey. This question is troubling me 7(iii).

please could someone explain to me what the first step that i have to do is, i dont see how to find the force that is pulling the block up the slope, is is just the friction between the particle and the block?

The question says that B is in equilibrium as P moves on its upper surface.

So only P and Q are moving.

But wont the friction of particle P effectively act on B?

Yes but the weight of the particle (component acting down the slope) is keeping the block in equilibrium.
