Traditional (so One Nation), neo-liberal and neo-Conservative (both are collectively called the New Right). You always mention all strands for the single doctrine questions

Does anyone know whether it is essential to know the three forms of Marxism?

I would learn them all, they can ask about one at random

Ah, okay thanks. In what form would a question likely be asked about them?

I'm not really focusing on socialism so I wouldn't know :colondollar: With the other three strands they tend to ask about the features of a particular strand, or they ask how a key idea is associated with the ideology and it's strands, such as "explain the link between liberalism and rationalism". So for socialism it might be "explain the link between socialism and communitarianism".

I'd split the paragraphs into two main strands, individualist (egoism and anarcho-capitalism) and collectivist (anarcho-syndicalism and anarcho-communism)

According to the specification you need to know: paternalism, libertarianism, authoritarianism, neoliberalism, and neoconservatism. (The latter two form the New Right.)
Paternalism is comprised of the One Nation and Christian Democracy traditions.

Ahhh thought as much
So if the Qu is in 'is conservative a single doctrine' you talk about all those strands?

Could you explain a bit more about libertarianism please? I thought that was an anarchist concept

Well I haven't looked at it in much depth yet, but it subscribes to liberal economics (free market) being compatible with a conservative social philosophy (authority and duty are emphasised within a strong state), according to the textbook. They believe that the free market helps to maintain social order.
