Let x be the frequency density of one square.

Find the number of little squares within the bars, by multiplying the length by the width of each bar and summing the values.
This gives: 12+16+22+23+19+8 = 100

We are told that the total number is 500.

Therefore 100x = 500, hence x = 5. So each little square on the y-axis represents a frequency density of 5.

You can carry on from there.
