Mmmmmm idk because I'm 5'2, 7 stone exactly, size 4/6 yet I have some chubbaaahhh. Depends on your frame - I'm chubby because I have a small frame

Wow, surely at that weight and size you can't possibly be chubby! Your BMI is underweight! How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Do you know your measurements? My height is 5"3.5, my weight is 8 stone 0 and my measurements are: Bust: 36, Waist: 26, Hips: 35 (I got my measurements slightly wrong in my original post). From trying on clothes since my original post, I have found that I am actually almost always a size 8 and very occasionally still a size 6. I do have quite a small frame though and I do sound chubby compared with you. :frown: I'm sure you're not chubby though; you sound really skinny!

So, presuming you're straight, would you only date girls that were size 6?

Why does that matter? It's not like you're going to date him... and he doesn't represent all men. So it doesn't matter, leave it be.

I'm 5"3 and a size 6 but am underweight, so you're healthy . I'm trying to gain weight. Be happy with the size you are. It doesn't matter what other people think (even though basically everyone has said that is a healthy size, not chubby). People will like you for you, and if they do not like you because of your body then they are superficial and not worth your time and effort.

Yes, that's mainly true but it also depends on if you are bigger due to fat or muscle or a bigger frame/bone structure etc. so it doesn't necessarily mean fatter.

A size 4 is supposed to fit measurements (in inches) of:

Bust: 31

Waist: 24

Hips: 33

A size 6 should fit:

Bust: 32

Waist: 25

Hips: 34

A size 8 should fit:

Bust: 33

Waist: 26

Hips: 35

As you can see, sizes 4 to 8 have a 1 inch difference between them whereas size 8 and size 10 and all the sizes above a size 10 have 2 inches difference between them.

So, a size 10 is supposed to fit:

Bust: 35

Waist: 28

Hips: 37

And you then add 2 inches on to those measurements to get a size 12 and so on... For a bit and then there starts to be an even bigger difference between the sizes.

That's the best guide I can give but the sizes also vary a lot in how big they actually are in reality between shops and even quite often in the same shop to be honest haha.

My measurements are:

Bust: 36

Waist: 26

Hips: 35

I got them slightly wrong in my original post. My waist and hips should fit a size 8 exactly but although my bust should be bigger than a size 8, I've always found that a size 8 fits it exactly as well. When I originally made this thread, I thought I might sometimes need a size 10, hence the title of the thread, but now having gone clothes shopping and tried stuff on I have found that I'm almost always a size 8 and very occasionally a size 6.

You're looking into this far too much...

Get bigger? Really? So you think that I sound too small?

Yes, I think you're right that I'm very unlikely to actually date Jebedee haha but I just wanted to get some opinions from men. Thank you, I'm sure you're right, it's just difficult to actually do that sometimes.

You're probably right haha. I copied it down from another internet page though, I don't know it all off by heart or anything.

Are they? I have to admit, I don't have a clue how men's sizes work!
Original post by Jebedee
My partner is size 8 but 5'6. At your height I'd only be looking at 6 and below really.

He's actually 28. :s-smilie:
Fair enough, yes that would be much better! Oh, what sort of figure would you say it's designed for then?

Yes, but with the attitude of a boy who clearly hasn't dealt with a real woman.

Ah you're one of those "only real women have rolls" types. In that case I'd rather be scorned than adorned by your type.

Not at all my friend but, if you're any kind of bloke who's not just seen porn and actually interacted with a woman, you'll know that we don't all have abs, thigh gaps and no cellulite or stretch marks.

Thanks, if I am in the near future undecided on the intent of my words. I'll get in touch with you to decide for me again.

So attractive women are only in porn now? I wonder where they get their inspiration from...

Yes, I suppose it sometimes is. I often find that when I buy tops I would fit a size 6 except that it looks too stretched across the bust.

Haha, yes, I understood what you meant. I was just pointing out that he's actually a lot older than you would think he is with the comments he makes. I thought with the way he was acting that he would be around 18 so I was surprised to find out that he was actually 28. He's obviously just really immature.
