Well I haven't looked at it in much depth yet, but it subscribes to liberal economics (free market) being compatible with a conservative social philosophy (authority and duty are emphasised within a strong state), according to the textbook. They believe that the free market helps to maintain social order.

I thought that was just the New Right in general?

It is similar, and it is quite confusing, but Libertarian Conservatism is listed independently of the New Right in the Heywood book and in the specification.

What ideologies are you focusing on in unit 3?

What ideologies are you focusing on in unit 3?

Liberalism, conservatism and socialism
Do you think it's safe to only revise essay questions for just two of them?

It's a bit risky because if only one ideology comes up and you end up not liking the question, you'd be in trouble. You have time to revise essay questions for another one, or at least to remember the answers to past questions. Going back to your original question, unit 4 builds upon the three unit 3 ideologies you're revising, so you have some knowledge already. I'd revise feminism, nationalism and one from ecologism and multiculturalism if you have time.

The thing is my only revision is doing past papers and essay plans so I'm just gonna revise all the essay plans based on past papers. If anyone has any for me to look at that would be great
I can't think of any other questions they could ask that hasn't already been up so if you can think of any essay questions that haven't come up that would be great.
I can't revise until the weekend because I've got history tomorrow so I don't think I have much chance of getting a decent grade
Is all the content on the marksheme enough to remember for the 15 markers?
Guys! Any tips on how I can learn both govt & politics units alongside psychology? I have all three next week :frown:!

If I'm correct unit 3 and psychology are on the same day?
Well you have 5 days until then so I would do one on unit 4, then 2 each in unit 3 and psychology.
And then you'll have Wednesday to do the rest of unit 4. Hope that helps

Definitely do not rely solely on mark schemes, they only provide basic information. You should look at the examiner's reports, they include examples of both good and bad essays

Arguments that agree with the statement - positive belief in human nature, against all forms of authority and coercion, dislike of representative democracy, all strands are revolutionary, all strands believe the state is an unnecessary evil

Arguments that disagree with the statement - individualistic vs social view of human nature, views on the economy

Cheers pretty much the same points
In the conclusion do you give your opinion?
