Maths AQA Spec B Calc thread

How'd it go!

I got everything except the second last algebraic fraction, and the factorise 49(c-d) one.. anyone get them?

I put (7c+d)(7d-d) which equals 49c^2 -d^2

Yeah, maybe on the last question. I think I thought too hard about it...

That bread one was 78, 13, 36 I think
That one where it said x^2 + ax + b I got x/6x+3 (I think it was 6x+3 i can't remember, x over something)
Circle perimeter i got 49
tent i got 2 on, not sure if correct.
I used Pythagoras for that ship question
The circle angle one where you used segment theory I got 71 from 180 -109.
For the black checker one I got 2/15

The bread one isn't 78,13,36 because it doesn't add up to 130

i thought that the bread one was 13 78 39...
last one no, the water one was one hour

What did you get for stratified sampling one? I think the last one was yes.

stratified was (50*(100/400)) rounded , cant rember the rest tbh.
the volume of prisom=8. length = 4. volume =base *lenght . 8=4*base. 2= base area.
say that each side of triangle = x. 2=h*base. h=x^2-(x/2)^2
used cosine rule to work out that x is i think, cant really rember tbh

i did, so did my mate even though he was meant to do foundation.... relasied halfway through and had to redo the paper...
I got 1.86...m for the height of the tent so I put "no" :smile:
Can someone please link me to an unofficial mark scheme when they find one? :smile:

Pretty sure I got that too :smile:


I thought it was an OK paper to be honest. Though the second question on holidays either I did completely wrong or 5 marks was too much?
I just added the adult and child ticket then multiplied by 0.75 (or whatever the discount was) and it was under £1000?
