Because I read off the scale on the left, if you read off the scale on the left and right you get it wrong. The scale on the right was out of proportion, if you look closely you see that each division is smaller, so you assume that the right is not in mm

10 ohm resistor connected to battery. Battery cinnected to voltmeter in parallel. When switch is open voltmeter reads 1.45. When closed it reads 1.26. Calculate internal resistance of battery?

You got the first part correct but second part wrong, if tou add more resistors in parallel then the load resistance goes down, so it was rounded up to 5. Dont worry I put 4 as well
