This is really useful however I can't remember how many marks each question was worth and I don't have a copy of the exam paper. Could you please include the marks for each question? Thank you.

X3-5x=34.
Assuming X=3.7 would give an answer of 32.153, its difference from 34 being 1.847. However, assuming X=3.8 would yield an answer of 35.872, its difference from 34 being 1.872. Since the difference between 34 and the value of X as being 3.7 is smaller than the value at 3.8, X=3.7.
Hope this helps.

That's exactly what I did!

Hey guys I got 211/200, do you think that's gonna be enough for a B!?

Assuming you mean 111? cx i'd have thought that would be enough, the grade boundaries should be fine c:

For the question with the triangle inside of a triangle where you had to find X how did you work it out??
Because I found a side using Pythagoras and then used trigonometry to find the angle

I used trig to find the angle of the bigger triangle and took 30 away from it

how was it

wondering what you got on the last one?

i got 81.2
Original post by 34908seikj
Wasn't the last question like 1/2 * 7 * 8 Sin(X) = 18

56Sin(x) = 36

Sin^-1(36/56) = X

x = 40

???

I think I did it wrong then.

I think there was more steps because it was a 6 marker. After that you have to use the sine and cosine rule... At least that's what I did. Hope I got it right.

um hang on, arent u meant to test 3.75 and 3.75 is less than 34, therefore x has to be in between 3.75 - 3.8

There was a big debate earlier, i put 3.7 but either way, a few marks cant make a massive difference
I got 3.7 because you had to pick the smallest one and 3.8 was too big
got 81.5 for the last one i don't know how

it was 1/-4-3x so im not sure, youd probably get 1
Does anybody know if I'll still get 1 mark if for the Histograms I mixed up class width with the median..? :/

Why didn't you take June 2015 into account?

It's an anomaly, a big one.
Does anyone happen to have any worked solutions?

If I correctly remember, the 2013 paper which was arguably the easiest paper ever was like 130 something for an A so you should be fine

thanks
