In the projectile motion question, wasn't the end horizontal velocity just the same as the 12ms-1 initial velocity beccase there was no air resistance? Really confused at that one

I only need 240 UCAS points (including AS and EPQ) as they lowered my offer. Including a B in maths (but the lady at the interview said a C will be fine) as I'm specialising in maths. So I should be fine but AQA and Edexcel seem to be playing around with my future.

The end horizontal velocity will be larger since the projectile will accelerate downwards in the vertical direction, due to gravity.

AFAIK, it should have been at the end since the maximum vertical velocity occurs infinitesimally close to/immediately before the point of impact.

Not sure of how strict the mark scheme will be however.

Not a great paper IMO but I think I did relatively well. Missed about 8 marks because of not finishing and I think I did dropped about 6/7 because of petty errors. Hopefully anyway. Wbu?

Nice, if anything the normal line I drew on the diagram is wonky so yours is probably ok.

I usually aim not to drop more than 15, after the exam i counted about 20, but after seeing what people are saying Im think about 25ish, so that would mean I'll get 45/70 give or take. Depending on grade boundaries hopefully it'll be a decent B.
But having said that, it was 47 for an A last year, so maybe I might be able to scrape an A

Why would the horizontal velocity change due to vertical acceleration? That should only affect the vertical component, not the horizontal one - the Horizontal component should just be cos25 * the resultant velocity at the start.

I thought it said vertical velocity. Didn't the exam question say vertical?
Did people get a line of negative gradient from the initial point to Tf (or h, can't remember which way around) and then a line of positive gradient to the other T reference point?

Surprising that there were no materials questions whatsoever.
